Owner, Speech-Language Pathologist

Rachel Fry is a pediatric speech therapist and a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association. She is licensed in North Carolina, South Carolina, and New York State. She holds her permanent Teachers Certification as a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities in New York State.

Rachel began to develop a passion for child-directed speech therapy methods while volunteering with an autistic child through the Son-Rise program and attending training at the Autism Treatment Center of America as a graduate student. She then practiced as a speech therapist at a clinic that embraced neuro-diverse affirming practices where she became certified in the DIR/Floortime® method and was mentored by like-minded speech therapists.

Rachel is experienced in early intervention and speech sound disorders. She has advanced training in feeding, AAC, early intervention, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, and Gestalt Language Processing. She has extensive experience providing speech therapy in home, community, and school based settings.

After practicing speech therapy in the western NY area for almost 20 years, Rachel moved with her husband, three children, and golden retriever to the greater Charlotte area in 2020.
